The ‘Women Pioneers Ride’ is an ode to Rotterdam women. During this ride, you will discover art, businesses, and local initiatives led by Rotterdam women. The ride incorporates interactive elements that add excitement. Each stop serves as a checkpoint you need to pass. To receive additional information about that specific checkpoint, you will have to do something in return.
This tour is organized by ‘Meiden die rijden’. Besides the tour at MOMO, they will organize a bike tour every Wednesday evening starting from 13 March. Check their instagram for information: https://www.instagram.com/meidendierijden/

A dynamic city walk through the Land van Hoboken exploring Rotterdam’s colonial and slavery past and its significance in today’s city.
With over 200 nationalities and a population where more than half have a migrant background, Rotterdam is a vibrant melting pot of cultures, traditions, and languages. This diverse city bears the marks of its colonial past in a population where 1 in 8 Rotterdammers has ancestors who were once enslaved or exploited under contract labor in former colonies. This history continues to impact contemporary issues such as racism, discrimination, and exclusion.
