Thee Sacred Souls consists of drummer Alex Garcia, bassist Sal Samano and singer Josh Lane, who formed a band together in 2019 and within a year secured a record deal with the iconic funk and soul label Daptone Records, once home to Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and Charles Bradley, among others.

Raised on the gospel music of his Christian parents, but also on classic Motown records, Josh Lane’s velvety falsetto voice echoes the sound of a rich musical past, in which Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield in particular resonate. Together with his soulful fellow musicians in Thee Sacred Souls, Lane effortlessly translates that heritage into a sound for all times, but especially for the summer.

Thee Sacred Souls is all about bringing the most beautiful and authentic sound possible; for this reason, the trio chooses to record all their music analog instead of digitally. Their first singles were streamed over ten million times, and attracted the attention of mainstream media such as Rolling Stone but also of artists such as Timbaland and Gary Clark Jr.

Judging by the lyrical reviews, the attention for this young band from San Diego will spread like wildfire in the coming years. But first things first; Sunday February 16, 2025 at Annabel, Rotterdam.
