Neal Francis
Support: Boogie Monster
His songs sound carefree and loose, but Neal Francis has never chosen the easiest path. Born as Neal Francis O’Hara in 1988, he fought through a period of drug and alcohol addiction. Once clean, the singer-songwriter and pianist grew into a great musical promise. He has plenty of stage experience, because at the age of 18 Francis already toured Europe with Muddy Waters’ son and with prominent blues artists through the US. In 2012 he joined the instrumental funk band The Heard, which grew into a popular American live band under his creative leadership.
Despite the success, he opted for a solo career a few years later. Since then, he has released three irresistible albums: Changes (2019), In Plain Sight (2021) and Francis Comes Alive (2023). These have already earned him nice comparisons with greats such as Leon Russell, Dr. John and JJ Cale.
This concert is presented by LantarenVenster, BIRD, Rotown & MOMO Concerts. This is a mostly standing room concert with limited balcony seating.
