Gotu Jim went from student king to internet sensation to style icon. If he hadn’t stayed so grounded, you’d call him a superstar. After a steadily growing career, he broke through to a wider audience in 2024 with the track ‘Misschien (Kwijt)’, a viral TikTok hit that became the definitive festival anthem of that year. In 2025, he played all the major festivals, with a packed-out tent at Lowlands as the ultimate highlight. His latest achievement is the 2026 summer banger ‘Vergeten’, a collaboration with hitmaker Antoon.

His sound is still unmistakably Jim: dark and emotional, but always with a smile and sing-along hooks. Auto-tune drenched vocals meet danceable electronic beats, creating a unique blend of Dutch hip-hop that moves between melancholy and party energy. Live, Gotu Jim knows how to captivate a crowd – from intimate club shows to festival stages, his music brings people together.
