Eefje de Visser
Support: Noa Lee
No one makes Dutch-language pop music as exciting and mysterious as Eefje de Visser. On October 10, Vlijmscherp will be released together with her previous album Heimwee (2024) in a double edition. For Heimwee, the successor to Bitterzoet (2020), Eefje received both an Edison Award and a Belgian MIA.
Vlijmscherp, which together with Heimwee forms a diptych, sounds energetic, dark, warm, dynamic, and colorful. Electronic drums and tense harmonies merge on an album full of drive, menace, and hope. The two records form a magical-realist whole in which she is constantly searching—from darkness to light, from alienation to something to hold on to, and from fragility to strength.
Now comes the final tour of the double album—don’t miss it, because the true power of Eefje de Visser reveals itself live. When she takes the stage with her band and dancers, she surrounds her spellbinding songs with unpredictable choreography in a breathtaking setting.
