*Concert Dry Cleaning in Maassilo canceled*

We regret to announce that the Dry Cleaning concert cannot take place due to illness of one of the band members. The band’s statement:

“Dear pals, it is with deepest of regrets that, due to illness, we are forced to cancel tomorrows show at Maassilo in Rotterdam and Saturday’s show at Trix Hall in Antwerp. Refunds will be issued to you at your point of purchase. It’s a sad end to what has been a wonderful tour and we hope to return very soon indeed!”

Unfortunately, there will be no new date for the concert. The money from your ticket(s) will be automatically refunded to your bank account, and ticket buyers will be notified by email. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope to see you at another concert soon!

Dry Cleaning is a marvel within the post-punk world. Florence Shaw’s gargantuan poetry draws on randomness, surrealism, and small moments, as she dazedly roams the stage like a curious ghost.

After the successful debut New Long Leg – which reached the fourth spot within the UK album charts – Dry Cleaning releases Stumpwork this year via quality label 4AD. Besides the album’s somewhat unsavory artwork, the band thematically plunges into deeper realms. Inspired by a plethora of events, concepts and political debacles, the record introduces a sensitivity to the themes of family, money, politics, self-deprecation and sensuality, in addition to the usual surrealist conceptions.

The band was already booked for MOMO Festival in 2020 (which was unfortunately cancelled due to the corona pandemic), gave a mesmerizing sold-out show at Rotown in 2022, and now returns to grace the stages of the Maassilo. A must for fans of The Fall, Protomartyr and Gang Of Four among others.
