Festival 2025
“Transforming Stories” hosted by The Transformers & Pauluskerk
Registration required (scroll down for the form)
Step into the world of The Transformers as they host this gathering centering Rotterdam’s hidden stories, brought to life through music, art, and community.
The Transformers, a local band that transforms authentic experiences of the city streets into powerful performances, hold space during MoMo Playground, both to provide insight into the band’s journey as well as to make room for dialogues around topics such as homelessness. Join both a celebration of the power of music and creativity to uplift and connect us as well as an essential conversation when it comes to being seen as a full spectrum human being whilst dealing with homelessness, addiction, mental health issues and other vulnerable situations.
The day kicks off with a performance by The Transformers at the heart of the MOMO Playground, Schouwburgplein. Afterward, we’ll gather at the Pauluskerk for a shared meal, open stage/mic, documentary screening and more!
Enjoy a vegetarian lunch, prepared by Krachtvrouwen, offering a warm and welcoming environment to connect with others over a nutritious meal. This will be followed by an open stage with musical performances, speakers and the premiere of The Transformers’ documentary, which delves into the band’s journey and their mission to empower people through music. You’ll also have the chance to experience a captivating photo exhibition by Peter van Beek, capturing visitors of the Pauluskerk who are homeless, or who don’t have valid residence documents, showing their stories, dreams and talents. Some of the Transformers’ band members are in the photo exposition as well.
