During this Swarm workshop, we will dance in the streets. With a Bluetooth speaker system and a beat, we move through the city like a radiating dancing swarm. On stairs, across roundabouts and over benches, we find temporary stages around every corner. In this space, how do we interact with each other, the architecture and the local residents?

The workshop is developed by:
Simomo Bouj is a curating dancer whose work is rooted in movement, collaboration, and collective activation. With origins in Morocco/Belgium and a journey spanning from hip-hop to training at the Royal Conservatory of Contemporary Dance in Antwerp, they bring a wealth of diverse cultural and professional skills to their practice. As the adjunct director of No Limits! Art Castle, an art space dedicated to exploring collaborations between non-recognized and recognized art worlds, Simomo is passionate about centering the question of value—both in art and in the artist.

Floor van Leeuwen is a (mime) choreographer, researcher and producer. They initiated Swarm, a choreography of assembly in public space, and are a fellow of ETH Zurich’s architecture department.
