Problem Patterns
Some bands begin because of boredom or a need to escape. But DIY queer punks Problem Patterns are not ‘some bands’: their inception was sparked from a sheer outrage against bad people getting away with really bad things.
This giddy Belfast quartet turns righteous discontent into something impossibly catchy, funny, and distinct. They earned the stamp of approval from legends like Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill) and Henry Rollins (Black Flag) along the way.
As a resolutely democratic affair – with all four members taking equal share in the songwriting process – Problem Patterns tackle everything from toxic TERFs, mediocre men, wealth hoarders, to cheeky incidents at Sleater-Kinney shows.
Their shows are cathartic, fun and inclusive affairs – putting a genuine and contemporary spin on pure-bred punk rock mutiny.
