Oracle Sisters

Finland, Denmark, America, Northern Ireland, France, Belgium… the members of Oracle Sisters are Here, There and Everywhere, scattered asunder like dandelion seeds in a breeze. The group’s illusory pop instills a similarly weightless feeling, as if the sirens of Homer’s Oddyssey have personally arrived to baptise you in some lustrous riverbed. 

As free and easy as Oracle Sisters sound on stage, their music is riddled with gorgeous, crisp details: silken guitar melodies, chimey piano plinking, tiptoeing drum grooves and the occasional harmonica interlude to tug at your heartstrings. Above all, their combination of West Coast pop, dreamy psychedelica and warm-blooded folk evokes feelings of remoteness from the stirrings of civilization. 

Unsurprisingly, the band’s highly-praised album ‘Hydranism’ was written in the Greek Island of Hydra. Music that’s a liberation for mind, body and soul, not unlike an infinite beach stroll past the pearly gates.
