Festival 2026
Joshua Idehen
The time-honoured combination of music and spoken word becomes something profoundly unique in the hands of Joshua Idehen. The British-Nigerian, Stockholm-based artist is a disarming presence on stage, someone who moves fluidly between dance floor and poetry.
Together with producer Ludvig Parment, Idehen circumvents and deepens the dynamic between audience and performer – forging a communal energy with witty humor, conversation, and his funky dance moves.
Idehen’s music gets to the bare essence of sometimes complex subject matter – like on his viral song “Mum Does The Washing” – with a light-hearted, easy-to-digest flair. By the time his show is over, you’ll be walking out with that same tireless grin. Indeed, when Joshua Idehen takes the stage, compassion is made cool again.
Now signed to Heavenly Recordings, Idehen is set to release his debut solo album, I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try, on 6 March 2026.
“He’s refreshingly earnest in his pursuit of goodness – and his insistence that the rest of us chase it too” – The Guardian
