The time-honoured combination of music and spoken word becomes something profoundly unique in the hands of Joshua Idehen. The British-Nigerian, Stockholm-based artist is a disarming presence on stage, someone who moves fluidly between dance floor and poetry. 

Together with producer Ludvig Parment, Idehen circumvents and deepens the dynamic between audience and performer – forging a communal energy with witty humor, conversation, and his funky dance moves.

Idehen’s music gets to the bare essence of sometimes complex subject matter – like on his viral song “Mum Does The Washing” – with a light-hearted, easy-to-digest flair. Now signed to Heavenly Recordings, Idehen is set to release his debut solo album, I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try, on 6 March 2026.
