Brik Tu-Tok

Belgian synth pop oddity Brik Tu-Tok tread an extremely fine line: they’ll leave you either shockingly aghast or chortling in rapturous glee – or more likely a mixture of both. The project founded by Maxim Storms and Linde Carrijn is undeniably a spectacular affair: warped, cartoonish, gloopy and slightly sinister. 

Brik Tu-Tok sounds like an acid trip inside of a toy store, unleashing a freight train of stupidly catchy hooks, buzzsaw beats and flamboyant stage antics. Nothing seems to make sense, until you realize Storms and Carrijn have a background in theatre, which means they will turn the stage into their personal vaudevillian funhouse at every opportunity.
