Antony Szmierek

Hip-hop, house, spoken word and rave are thrown into the blender by this former English teacher from Manchester. Antony Szmierek is making unique moves by blending his poetic, often introspective lyricism with undeniably smooth riffs and nostalgic beats. Comparisons have been drawn with Mike Skinner and The Streets, but of course Szmierek paints his own picture with a Mancunian slant – both in dialect and lyrical content.

He will release his debut album in early 2025, which many are looking forward to, and fully justified: tracks like ‘The Words to Auld Lang Syne’, ‘Circle of Light’, ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Fallacy’ and latest single ‘Rafters’ taste for more.
