Amber Docters van Leeuwen, a cellist and composer, is driven by curiosity and a profound interest in sound in all its forms, which has led her to explore interdisciplinary artforms. This led to site-specific performances, immersive sound installations, and compositions for theatre, where she is constantly seeking new ways in which sound can be experienced and understood. It was during their studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague that Amber first met Ji Youn Kang. Their shared academic environment laid the foundation for their artistic collaboration. Ji Youn Kang is a Korean composer, performer, and sound artist. Her work focuses on exploring the relationship between musical and physical spaces, often using multichannel systems such as the Acousmonium and Wave Field Synthesis. As a solo performer, she combines acoustic instruments, analog synthesis, and digital sound on stage.
