Scottish singer-songwriter Alice Faye is a rising star, an artist blessed with a captivating, timeless voice.

That trait might be a given when you share a name with a famous Hollywood actress during its golden age. Faye’s music brings you back to those dewy-eyed Judy Garland-musicals, country stars like Patsy Cline and Connie Francis, but also dramaturgists like Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. There’s plenty of less-obvious influences, too, indicated by Faye’s persistent fondness for glam legends T. Rex.

After winning ‘Scottish Act of the year’ and selling out London’s Bush Hall, Faye is geared up ready to release her debut album Vaudevillian next year. A bright talent who can channel nostalgia with a modern-day outlook, but also give classics a fresh twist through her charismatic performances.

“In the same way that Martha Wainwright, Angel Olsen, or Aldous Harding can make you stop what you’re doing as you hang on their every word, so too can this wildly talented individual from Glasgow.” – The Skinny
