Damien Jurado

It is impossible to catch Jurado’s oeuvre in words. As versatile as the songwriter from Seattle is, whose albums have been with us for almost twenty years. His sound is modest, minimalistic and folky, then prolonged, almost psychedelically and sometimes even raw, hard and noisy. Nevertheless Jurado keeps essentially sounding like himself, or better said; like no one else. Jurado creates a dimension where time passes by in a different way. Jurado is exploring, taking risks. He’s not only freeing his songs, the gate is opened wide to allow us all into his once-isolated musical universe.
