Together with Le Guess Who? and Roodkapje Rotterdam, we’re excited to share that Loveth Besamoh has received support from Fonds Podiumkunsten through the Nieuwe Makersregeling 2026–2028.
Over the next two years, Loveth will have the time and space to dive deeper into his artistic practice and conduct in-depth research into his musical influences and how these can be translated to the stage. MOMO and Le Guess Who? will be alongside him as sparring partners and supporters throughout this process.
We’re very happy to be part of this journey, and even more excited to see what will grow from it. There’s lots to discover, and we’ll be sharing more along the way.
The collaboration with Loveth is part of MOMO Create, our talent development program focused on supporting makers in their artistic growth and creating space for experimentation, research and new ideas.
Loveth Besamoh
Loveth Besamoh summarises the creative trajectory of the eponymous band he founded quite aptly: a surrender to metamorphosis through music. The birthname given to the Cameroonian producer/multi-instrumentalist literally means ‘To Love / Speak Truth – as powerful a maxim as any when engaging in artistic endeavors. Like a tree branching out from fertile topsoil, the band Loveth Besamoh has organically evolved from its founder’s bedroom productions to a dynamic four-piece outfit that combines post-punk, folk, afro- psychedelica, shoegaze and kraut rock in unorthodox, firebrand fashion.
Gaining a steady following with their torrential live performances, Loveth (vocals, guitars, percussion), Do Milder (bass), Devon van Wijngaarden (guitar), and Iwan van der Keur (drums) have embedded themselves deeply within Rotterdam’s rich alternative music scene, with latest EP Riverbed as the latest marker for the group’s rapidly evolving, collaborative sound. Currently Loveth Besamoh are gearing up to record their long-awaited debut LP.
MOMO Create
Since its inception, Motel Mozaïque has been dedicated to supporting emerging artists and new creative projects. From providing a stage for up-and-coming talent to co-creating productions with various artists and organizing unique residencies, Motel Mozaïque has been at the forefront of artistic development.
In 2021, these efforts were formalized under MOMO Create, a core initiative focused on talent development and artistic storytelling. MOMO Create provides makers with the space to share their stories, explore their inspirations, and develop their creative processes.
Through the collaboration with Loveth, we continue this commitment by giving him the time and space to research, experiment and further develop his artistic practice.
