Roosbeef is the band fronted by singer and songwriter Roos Rebergen. Since their breakthrough, the group has established itself as one of the most distinctive voices in Dutch-language music.

Rebergen is regarded as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation. Her songs are at once playful, disruptive, moving and relatable. With five albums to their name, Roosbeef have built up a loyal following in the Netherlands and Belgium, and the band has earned praise from the press, fellow musicians and listeners alike.

In 2024, Roos released an album featuring classical arrangements of her songs, in collaboration with the SunSunSun Orchestra string quartet. The album and sold-out concerts received rave reviews.

Meanwhile, she was working on new material. That process was overshadowed by the death of band member and friend Tom Pintens and a period during which Rebergen took a step back to focus on her mental health. With ‘Binnensmonds’ and ‘De Leugen’, Roosbeef announces a sixth studio album. And so Roosbeef continues to reinvent itself, without ever losing its unique voice.

Belle and Sebastian celebrate 30 years of Tigermilk at Theater Rotterdam!

Scottish band Belle and Sebastian returns to Rotterdam on 5 December to celebrate 30 years of their landmark album Tigermilk. Originally released in 1996, the album achieved iconic status – Pitchfork called it “immaculate” and The Guardian praised its poetic, funny, and gorgeously melodic sound.

For this special evening, the band will perform Tigermilk in full, followed by a second set of classic Belle and Sebastian songs. This is part of their anniversary tour across the UK, Europe, the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Belgian rapper Zwangere Guy is coming to Rotterdam!

Zwangere Guy burst onto the scene from Brussels with his 2019 album Wie is Guy?, which topped the charts and established him as one of the leading voices in Dutch language hip-hop. Since then, he’s broken records across the board: first gold for a Dutch language hip-hop album, multiple sold-out shows across the region, and recognition from major festivals including Rock Werchter and Lowlands.

Zwangere Guy’s music is characterized by precise lyrics and an unflinching approach to difficult subjects: poverty, domestic violence, personal struggle. His work in recent years reflects a period of transition as he navigates sobriety and fatherhood. He raps in Flemish Dutch with wordplay throughout. On stage, he brings both intensity and openness.

UK soul quintet Mamas Gun is coming to Rotterdam! On Wednesday 30 September, the band fronted by Andy Platts (Young Gun Silver Fox) brings their sixth studio album DIG! to Annabel.

Rotterdam brass collective Gallowstreet introduces FUTUREBRASS – a musical direction that merges brass instrumentation with electronic influences inspired by the French Touch movement. By melting synthesizers with effect-processed brass instruments, they bring the brass band genre firmly into the 21st century. Think Daft Punk, Justice, and Air reimagined through powerful horn sections and cinematic production. American singer-songwriter Alela Diane is returning to Rotterdam! On Sunday 25 May, she’ll perform at LantarenVenster with her full 4-piece band, presenting songs from her forthcoming album set for release in spring 2026.

Alela Diane has built one of contemporary folk’s most quietly extraordinary catalogs since her breakthrough The Pirate’s Gospel. Consequence once praised her “timeless sound, that of a wayfaring troubadour, which only seems to come a few times a generation.”

From the critically acclaimed To Be Still (2009) and Cusp (2018) – called “insanely beautiful, with the strength and delicacy of spider silk” by UNCUT – to her reflective Looking Glass (2022), Diane continues to evolve her intimate folk sound.
