2020

MOMO Festival 2020 could not take place due to the measures regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

We were looking forward to celebrating the twentieth edition of the festival with all our guests on April 16, 17 and 18 in Rotterdam. This is a loss to the team, its volunteers, artists, partners and visitors. At the moment, public health is the main priority.

Strong together

We’re entering a heartbreaking period for everyone. Nevertheless, the solidarity in the world gives us hope and we are grateful for the heartwarming messages we have received. We would like to thank all artists, partners, artists, booking agencies and above all; our visitors. We look forward to getting back together and experiencing beautiful things together. That is why we would like to celebrate it next year, in April 2021. But for now: stay safe.

The planned line-up for MOMO 2020 included:

Destroyer, Eefje de Visser, Kampire, YĪN YĪN, Squid, PREGOBLIN, Big Society, Velvet Negroni, Dry Cleaning, Leif Vollebekk, THE GOA EXPRESS, Resavoir, Dana Gavanski, LANKUM, LO-FI LE-VI, Greentea Peng, MC Yallah & Debmaster, Alabaster dePlume, Askjell, Black Country, New Road, Charlotte Adigéry, Deeper, Jonah Parzen-Johnson, mxmtoon, Mysie, Nadia Reid, Neal Francis, Sherelle, Silverbacks, Working Men’s Club, Clara Furey, De Dansers, Tabea Martin, Daniel Mariblanca and many other amazing acts would have created an unforgettable edition of MOMO Festival.

MOMO Fabrique 2020

Sinceregular festivals couldn’t take place due to the pandemic, Motel Mozaïque organized the two-day MOMO Fabrique festival in September in the form of a route across the bizarrely cool grounds of AVL Mundo, the workplace of artist Joep van Lieshout. A great success, with sold-out routes and positive responses from visitors and artists.

During this only pop festival in Rotterdam this summer, YĪN YĪN, S10, Meetsysteem, Mattheis and Grande Loge, among others, performed among the gigantic works of art.

First disposable plastic-free pop festival

MOMO Fabrique was also the first disposable plastic-free pop festival in the Netherlands. The festival was also a very successful edition in this respect. In addition to banning single-use plastics, the festival only served vegetarian food, they worked with green energy, visitors stayed overnight in recycled cabins and they received a green discount if you come with a green means of transport. The choice to ban plastics is in line with Motel Mozaïque’s ambition to be completely climate positive by 2030.
