Applying for the YTC 2025/2026
Are you passionate about working in the performing arts, but you feel you lack the typical experience required? The Young Talents Club (YTC) is here to help you break into the industry. Since 2019, the YTC offers a unique opportunity for young talents to develop their skills and gain experience, regardless of their background. For the next edition, we’re expanding: you can choose whether you’d like to join the YTC at MOMO Festival, Club Gewalt, Theater Walhalla or O. Festival for Opera. Music. Theatre.
What does it entail?
The YTC is an initiative by Rotterdam based Stichting Motel Mozaïque (organisers of MOMO Festival) that has helped numerous individuals take their first steps into the industry, providing young people the opportunity to grow professionally. Many of our Young Talents have successfully launched their careers, with alumni now holding positions at renowned cultural institutions.
We tailor the program to your needs, identifying the most relevant track, department, and goals that align with your ambitions. Regular check-ins, coaching and guidance provide a healthy, educational, and productive experience. You’ll learn from our experienced industry professionals while also having the space to develop and test your own ideas. We consider the YTC as a two-way street, where we learn as much from you as you do from us! Beyond day-to-day work, we organise a series of masterclasses and coaching sessions for the talents, given by industry professionals from our network. These sessions are tailored to the interests of you and your fellow talents.
What do we offer?
• A paid learning role with real responsibility – you’ll receive fair pay for meaningful work, with a monthly reimbursement of €900,- for which you are expected to be in the office approximately two days a week.
• Tailored guidance with focus on goals and wellbeing – Each participant gets close mentorship from experienced professionals, as well as masterclasses and coaching to build skills, confidence, and a portfolio for your next career step.
• A space for experimentation and initiative – Participants are encouraged to share ideas, try new approaches, and learn from mistakes, with opportunities to explore different roles and bring societal or cultural topics into the conversation.
• Access to a professional network – The YTC connects participants to a wide network of cultural sector professionals
About the organisations
Below is a description of the available organisations and what being a Young Talent in their organisation will look like.
Motel Mozaïque
Since 2001, Motel Mozaïque (MOMO) has been a platform and facilitator for artists, venues, and events. MOMO is a dynamic mosaic of people, art, culture, and music, united by equality, understanding, and a focus on humanity. We create connections between artists and audiences, open doors to hidden locations, and showcase Rotterdam to national and international guests.
At MOMO, the talents will have the opportunity to work in various departments, including Marketing, Programming, Production, and Business Management. From November until April, you’ll be part of the team, working out of our office in the Schieblock to build a multidisciplinary arts festival from the ground up. We have our team meetings on Tuesdays, but besides that the work hours are generally flexible. Additionally, we ask for your full availability during the festival week (April 13-19, 2026).

Club Gewalt
Club Gewalt is a music-based performance collective from Rotterdam. Rooted in a distaste for injustice and a love of coming together, creating, composing, producing, and performing, they make their own work: from feminist punk Christmas musicals and introspective killjoy operas about institutional racism, to disruptive club nights in museums and political slut pop concerts.
As a young talent at Club Gewalt, you will spend six months working in our back office, where you will learn what it takes to run a theater company. Depending on your interests, you can delve into artistic management, business management, production, and/or marketing, and you will be paired with one of our team members who is involved in that area.. We work as a small, close-knit team, and Wednesday is our regular team day, which you are expected to attend.

Theater/Werkplaats Walhalla
Theater Walhalla is a theater with four auditoriums, located in Katendrecht in the south of Rotterdam. Walhalla is a personal and committed organization: close to visitors, closely connected to creators and many other initiatives, and with a keen interest in the immediate environment. Part of Walhalla is Werkplaats Walhalla: a production house where we focus on talent development and musical theater. Every year, we create various performances together with new creators, in the role of producer or co-producer.
As a Young Talent, you will spend six months working behind the scenes, gaining hands-on experience in a theatre organization. Depending on your interests, you can focus on business management, production, and/or marketing, and you will be paired with a team member who works in that area. You may also take on a cross-departmental role, combining responsibilities from different areas. We are a small, collaborative team, and our regular team days are on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, depending on the department you’ll be working with.
