Whenever Amsterdam collective MICH resurface from the crevice they call home, they seem to add new diligent creative souls to their lofty fellowship. In the year 2025, MICH is Piet Parra, Sofie Winterson, Bastiaan Bosma, Rimer London, Mick Johan, Benny Komala, Doortje Hiddema and Barend Brieffies. 

At this pace, MICH might end up becoming a small village by the time the ice caps have melted away… just don’t expect them to sound like it. Their shrewd and ever-reliable concoction of shoegaze, new wave and dream pop remains a guiding flicker within an endless, empty void – a necessary and altruistic counterpunch to the often futile quest for meaning. 

There’s no ring to cast in the fire or some colossal battle between good and evil to speak of. Simply comforting songs tailored for abandoned highways, cracked dancefloors and overgrown plazas. Someone’s gotta keep things honest before the dawn of the cockroach and we’re happy MICH is around to pick up the tab.
