This band’s debut single and their live performances anticipate something very unique: a compelling mix of sweetness and rawness, that we hope to discover more at MOMO Festival 2024. So far, mary in the junkyard only released the debut the song “Tuesday”, in which the whispered vocals float over a post-rock crescendo, evoking a big variety intriguing references to artists like Alice Phoebe Lou and Radiohead.

The experimental trio comprises guitarist and vocalist Clari Freeman-Taylor, bassist and viola player Saya Barbaglia (previously members of the acclaimed band Second Thoughts) and drummer David Addison. Together with other artists from our line-up like Picture Parlour and Fat Dog, mary in the junkyard are the new recruits of South London buzzy music scene and they already performed at numerous music events, including Green Man, Reading and local tastemaker festival Left of the Dial.
