On Friday 19 April, Tom Skinner invites Dave Okumu (singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist) and Tom Herbert (Jazz/groove bass player) to join him for a live performance at WORM Rotterdam.

Okumu, Herbert and Skinner have been friends and played together in one form or another for over 30 years. In their formative teenage years, they would congregate to learn how to play the music which had impacted so heavily on their lives, resulting in a distillation of funk, soul, pop, metal, classical, punk, hip hop, dance, folk, electronic and world music, filtered through the prism of the endlessly resourceful, inventive and expressive language of jazz. As the trio, they come together to play a loose, modern take on jazz, reimagining and reworking some of their biggest inspirations from the likes of Miles Davis to Björk.

Tom Skinner is the artist in residence for MOMO Festival 2024. He will curate and perform on three days, with three unique performances.
