SUM

SUM is a transdisciplinary art project by dancer/performer Kelvin Kilonzo and musician/performer Pablo Gīw from Berlin & Cologne.
While targeting reduction and deceleration with a persisting presence of threat, SUM creates an atmosphere of intense devotion and timelessness.

Kelvin Kilonzo is a contemporary dancer and actor who has been collaborating with musicians and bands just as much as he worked with dancers and companies. He has a strong connection to the urban dance scene and currently works with with plenty of solo musicians and dance collectives around Europe. He is also an award winning actor, making his debut with ‘Toro’ at the Berlinale in 2017 and winning his last award for ‘best actor‘ with The Third King at the Revolution ME Festival New York.

Pablo Giw is a musician, trumpeter & performer who works in the field of improvised, experimental music as well as interdisciplinary works and music production. With the dark jazz duo DUS-TI he toured and worked between 2011 and 2016 releasing three albums on the self- founded label ti-Records. Giw has also released music together with experimental percussionist Joss Turnbull, with the beat-noise quartet Stellar Banger, as solo artist and he composed and performed the score for the theater productions “Death of a Salesman“ and “Fruits of Wrath“.
