Nusantara Beat

The six-piece Nusantara Beat was founded in Amsterdam by a group of musicians who feel connected to their Indonesian roots and culture. The band is a super group of musicians who have experience in various other bands, such as Jungle By Night, Pom, EUT, The Mysterons, Maple and Surf Aid Kit.

Nusantara Beat creates tropical and mystical sounds, inspired by traditional Indonesian songs from the 20th century. The members combine their love for traditional Indonesian music with their own style and creativity. In which they take the audience on a journey to the land of their ancestors. With their music they not only honor their own cultural heritage, but show how rich and diverse Indonesian music is. Nusantara Beat is a band that pays tribute to the traditional sounds, but at the same time takes the music to the future.
