Nilüfer Yanya doesn’t need much to stand out from the crowd. The 3 EPs’ she has released thus far, excel in their low-key simplicity.
Her sound is somewhere in between r&b and indie, with a wide range of influences: from Amy Winehouse to Pixies. Which has already resulted in a nomination for BBC’s Sound of 2018 and rave reviews from the international press. Nilüfer Yanya heeft niet veel nodig om in het oog te springen. De drie EP’s die de jonge singer-songwriter tot nu toe uitbracht, blinken uit in hun ingetogen eenvoud.
