Artists like Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Johnny Cash and Prince still parked their vans here in front of the door, the exhaust heading towards the Chinese grocery store that was still here at the time.”

The green produce stand has now given way to Kampong Express: traditional Malaysian food prepared by a Chinese couple and served by their daughter. Highly recommended: the Laksa and the homemade ginger beer.
