Hotel New York

In 1971, the Nieuw Amsterdam 2 was the last to sail from this pier: where the headquarters of the Holland America Line used to be, you can now sleep, eat and drink.

In 1993, the current hotel was the first business on the Kop van Zuid – 3 years before the Erasmus Bridge was built. At that time, the hotel was still very difficult to reach from the inner city, except by water cab. A daring enterprise therefore, but one that has been very successful!
