MOMO Sessions

Over the years, some great live sessions have been recorded at MOMO Festival. Numerous artists, including Mumford & Sons, Julia Stone, Weyes Blood, Marlon Williams, The Veils, Antony & The Johnsons and The Growlers, made extra appearances in front of the cameras during the festival, mostly for a selected very happy crowd.

MOMO X Front

In collaboration with the Rotterdam online magazine Front, we recorded two live sessions during MOMO Festival 2022, the first one is with  Katy J Pearson: on the banks of the Nieuwe Maas – on the deck of the former Tropicana swimming pool – the British singer-songwriter plays the songs ‘Game of Cards’ and ‘Hey You’.

The Front video team also captured Sacrificial Chanting Mood , this is the new band of Alicia Breton Ferrer (The Sweet Release of Death, Neighbors Burning Neighbours) and Doortje Hiddema (Euroboy, Rats On Rafts) . The session was recorded in Joep Van Lieshout’s art complex Brutus, which used to be AVL Mundo.

MOMO Sessions

In 2018 and 2019 we recorded the MOMO Sessions in very special places in Rotterdam. With the playlist below you can enjoy sessions with Anna St. Louis, Skinny Pelembe, Robin Kester, Alela Diane, Nabihah IqbalAnna Meredith and The Weather Station.

From previous MOMO Festival editions we have dozens of sessions for you. We recorded them with our mediapartner 3voor12. For instance in 2017 we had Lisa Hannigan, Weyes Blood, Pitou and Dayme Arocena ao in a beautiful Arminiuschurch.

And in 2016 we 3voor12 invited Marlon Williams, Amanda Bergman, Damien Jurado, Gwenno ao for an extra session during the festival.

During MOMO Festival 2015 we did the sessions at a big festival tent on the Schouwburgplein with Will Butler (Arcade Fire), BRNS, Villagers, Alamo Race Track, Bowerbirds and more.

In 2014 George Ezra, Temples, Eagulls, Matthew and the Atlas, Erlend Oye and Quilt did some great sessions.

And there is so much more where that came from, for instance Mumford & Sons, Antony & The Johnsons, Fink, Julia Stone, Patrick Watson, Health.
