Thai Psych Funk
Thai psychedelic funk, but from Maastricht. That is YĪN YĪN in short. The men call it ‘Thaiedelic’, although there are also unmistakable disco and afrobeat influences in their rhythms and grooves. What started as a side project by Kees Berkers (Baby Galaxy) and Yves Lennertz (Bounty Island), grew into a success formula in no time.
Last summer, the band turned Lowlands, Into The Great Wide Open and Metropolis upside down, and just afterwards released the extremely danceable debut album The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers.
