Yard Act

The missing link between the recent post-punk scene and Britpop was formed in Leeds at the end of 2019. Yard Act manifested throughout 2020 and 2021 with four increasingly coruscating and hilariously dark singles.

Their debut album “The Overload” came to light in January 2022 and quickly collected great positions in charts and nominations at Mercury Prize and NMEs Awards.
The band is capable of grasping elements from post-rock and mix them with danceable grooves and punchy bass lines. Singer James Smith enriches his wordsmith abilities with verbose satirical lyrics and a spoken-word theatrical interpretation.
