Wannes Cappelle, broeder Dieleman & Frans Grapperhaus

    Minimal folk

What do you get when you bring together a West Flemish folk hero and a folk singer with Zeeuws-Flemish dialect?

That was the big question in 2017 during the GrensGeluid-project, in which Wannes Cappelle (frontman Het Zesde Metaal, BE) and broeder Dieleman (NL) were challenged to work together intensively for several months. The result was that year already heard on Motel Mozaïque, but the project continued.

Assisted by the Dutch cellist Frans Grapperhaus, the men went into the studio for a joint album. Dit is de bedoeling has become a disarming folk record, which proves what kind of magic can arise when musicians dare to cross borders. Literally and figuratively.
