VANT is the brainchild of frontman Mattie Vant. Born out of discontent and frustration at the fucked up world we currently inhabit, he built an arsenal of songs that are short, poignant and socially aware remedies to the ignorance of most modern consumerist pop music. Creeping riffs give way to a suckerpunch of a chorus. ‘Parking Lot’ (2015) is a concoction of stop-start riffs and fiery grunge dynamics that’s topped by Mattie Vant’s coolly composed vocal delivery.
