The Growlers (US)
Brooks Nielson, Scott Montoya, Matt Taylor and Brian “don’t surf” Stewart formed the band the Growlers in 2006. The musical style of the band is rooted in rock ‘n roll from the 60s, but the Growlers are enthusiastically mixing with diverse other styles like hip hop and psychedelic rock. Their music is also referred to as a psychedelic circus of surfrock, hobo trance and boom boom. The Growlers have worked with artists like Dr. Dog, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) and Night Beats. After producing about a hundred songs, their third album is going to be released in January 2013.
