Talk Show
The London new wave punks from Talk Show prove that pure coincidence can push a music career forward. In 2019 the foursome signed with Yala! Records, the label of Felix White (The Maccabees). How did they get there? Not thanks to some flashy impresario or other music bobo, but… through frontman Harrison Swann’s hairdresser. He was quite charmed by Talk Show and happened to be a friend of White.
But Talk Show doesn’t run on luck alone. The band impressed with flaming live shows at showcase festival The Great Escape, and as support act for, among others, Fontaines D.C., Squid and our own Pip Blom. In addition, debut EP These People was highly regarded by music magazines such as DIY and Dork.
