Moon Moon Moon
Under the name Moon Moon Moon, Mark Lohmann is known for his imaginative, witty and sincere bedroom folk. It could never quite be called a one-man project, because on stage Lohmann was always accompanied by a band. But for the upcoming album Silly Symphonies he joined forces with arranger and keyboardist Stef Koenis during the creative process.
The two were inspired by gritty Disney soundtracks and iconic film composers like Danny Elfman and John Williams. This resulted on the one hand in orchestral fireworks full of strings, brass, glockenspiels and timpani, but on the other hand also in the lo-fi folk and extended monologues that we were used to hearing from Moon Moon before.
