    Lankum

From bittersweet liquor songs to dreary ballads: Lankum draws richly from the Irish folk tradition, but then gives it a twist of its own. The Dublin foursome proves that folk effortlessly goes hand in hand with drones, punk and psychedelics.

“A folk album influenced by the ambient textures of Sunn O))) and Swans, and the sonic intensity of Xylouris White and My Bloody Valanetine,” writes The Guardian in the five-star review of the band’s third albm. The British newspaper is not the only one that’s impressed: The Irish Times and De Volkskrant also awarded the new album with the maximum score.
