James Blake (gb)
James Blake’s Feist cover ‘Limit To Your Love’ was the first taste from the producer’s self-titled vocal-pop debut album which has been released this February on Atlas/A&M. Two of this latest EPs, ‘CMYK’ and ‘Klavierwerke’, appear to be a natural buildup to this project. The album puts Blake’s vocals front-and-center, and he’s got a really nice voice. Warm and range-y. Blake claims he was influenced to add more of his own vocal to his work by Joni Mitchell’s ‘Blue’ and Bon Iver’s ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’.
