Grandbrothers & Ensemble
Classical / minimal
Just like contemporaries Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds, the Düsseldorf duo Grandbrothers is not afraid to blend classical, minimal, ambient and techno into the most breathtaking soundscapes.
Whether it is in a silent concert hall or in front of a frenzied festival audience: the piano compositions demand full attention. At the Reworks Festival in Greece last year the men performed with an ensemble for the first time. That left everyone wanting more: now they take ten musicians on stage at Motel Mozaique.
“Such synergy – born of an innate understanding and intuition, personally and musically – can be heard throughout Grandbrothers’ technically innovative, thrillingly distinctive work: two ingenious minds, perfectly in tune, relentlessly exploring new ideas.” – City Slang
