Postpunky hiphop-soul

The first steps Georgia made in the music industry were as the drummer of artists like Kate Tempest and Kwes. She wrote her own music mainly to express and deal with her uncertainty of existence.

Yet on her debut album, that was released in 2015, the London artist sounds as if she always had to be in the spotlight: from her self-assured voice to the streamlined chaos in her productions.

Postpunky hip-hop soul, she calls it herself. And that is perhaps the easiest description, given her versatile list of musical heroes: Missy Elliot, Joni Mitchell, Oneohtrix Point Never and Björk – just to name a few. This year Georgia is preparing for the release of new material. The new single Started Out can be listened to below.
