The mantra of friends? “Put a smile on someone’s face, tell someone they have a place in this world, tell someone you want to be friends with them.” Because as much as Sammy Rae & The Friends may be a band, this collective considers itself a family first and foremost. Led by singer-songwriter Sammy Rae, the group thrives in the spotlight with a combination of one for all, all for one camaraderie, palpable chemistry, deft virtuosity and vocal fireworks.

Their sound is a blend of Sammy’s influences, rooted in classic rock, folk and funk and sprinkled with soul and jazz. Complete with a rhythm section, two saxophones, keyboards and lots of percussion, Sammy Rae & The Friends deliver their energetic, spirited and uninhibited shows to sold-out venues in the US and Europe. Their latest single Closer To You comes just as the band gears up for performances this summer at SummerStage New York and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, followed by a world tour in fall 2023.
